Teen mental health is talked about everywhere & MTS has been quietly solving it, one teen at a time, for more than two decades. The 2026 tour is how we reach more teens, in more cities, and in more communities before it's too late for someone.
4 Cities, 1 Mission. To make sure no teen feels alone.
Every dollar you give goes directly to putting a teenager in a room where they feel safe, seen, and capable of more than they thought.
Imagine being 16 and not knowing how to describe what you're feeling inside. Not depression, not anxiety, just a pressure you can't name, that nobody taught you to handle.
That's where most teenagers are right now. And most of them are handling it alone. The numbers are hard to ignore.
1 in 5 teens seriously consider suicide each year. 40% live with persistent sadness or hopelessness. And 60% of those who are struggling never receive any mental health support at all.
These aren't statistics from somewhere else. They're the kids in your community, your school, your family. There is a program that's been changing this for over 20 years.
Motivating the Teen Spirit (MTS) brings teenagers together in what we call a Safe Space; a real, human environment where teens learn to name their feelings, build honest relationships, and lead with integrity.
No app. No algorithm. Just people, in a room, doing the hard and necessary work of emotional literacy.
Here's what 20+ years of that work looks like:
- 2,000+ teen suicides prevented since 1998
- 1,600+ teens returned to school
- 8 in 10 teens return to MTS programs by choice
When teenagers choose to come back, you know it's working.
In 2026, MTS is taking this on the road.
The MTS Emotional Literacy Tour is bringing the Safe Space Initiative to three cities — Los Angeles, Texas, and a third stop to be announced — reaching 50 to 100 teens at every event.
Every teen who walks through the door gets a two-day immersive experience with meals, workbooks, and materials included, plus transportation assistance for those who need it. Cost is never the reason a teen can't show up.
Here's what your donation actually does.
We're raising $50,000 — enough to fund half the tour. Every $500 covers one teen's full experience from start to finish: venue, food, workbooks, transportation, and the staff who make it all run.
You don't have to give $500. Every dollar adds up:
$25 — a teen's program workbook
$50 — a teen's meals for the day
$100 — transportation for two teens
$250 — half of one teen's full experience
$500 — one teen's complete mts experience
MTS was built by someone who lived what these teens are going through.
The program was founded by Lisa Nichols, a New York Times bestselling author who went from a single mother on public assistance to reaching over 88 million people worldwide. She's been featured on Oprah, the Today Show, Dr. Phil, Larry King, and CNN. She appeared in The Secret, seen by over 500 million people. Three cities have declared a day in her honor.
She built MTS because she knows what it's like to be a teenager with no one to teach you how to feel your feelings and survive them. The tour is her bringing that lesson to as many teens as possible.
This is the work. Will you help us do it?
We are going to LA, Texas, DC, and Atlanta, the whole country.
Share this campaign. Give what you can. If you've been through an MTS program, you already know exactly what you're giving someone.
