Support Mt. Vernon Brewery Staff Through Job Loss

On Monday, February 2nd 2026, The Brewer’s Art closed it’s doors indefinitely and we lost our jobs immediately without a chance to prepare for the sudden income loss. As the cooks, dishwashers, food runners, servers, barbacks, bartenders and managers that showed up every night to provide guests with the experience the residents of Mt. Vernon have loved for so long, it has been devastating for us to process this moment. We are still owed wages for our labor and now face having to support our families and ourselves while seeking employment.

Any support you can offer us would be a massive help. Two weeks of wages were unpaid despite rent being due. Many of us were relying on this paycheck that was not delivered. This fund is to prevent us from being completely de-stabilized as we attempt to cover our living expenses in the process of finding work again.

We know that the brewery was a staple of Mt. Vernon and many regulars who have been coming for years will miss it dearly. We appreciate all of you for standing with the workers that showed up every night, even through the most challenging of times, to create memories with you.

Thank you with all of our hearts!
