Support Mt. Moriah's Family Life Center
Donation protected
West Perrine is an unincorporated, blighted community within Miami-Dade County. It has been ravaged by gentrification and the rising cost of housing, thereby destroying the fabric of the community that it once knew. The church has long been a beacon of hope and refuge for the inhabitants of this community, which stretches back for generations. That’s why Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, the oldest Baptist church in Perrine turning 106 years old, has answered the call with the building of a Family Life Center on its campus. The building of this Family Life Center will allow for ample community meeting space, mental health services, youth development programs, senior outreach/feeding services, employment training, and food security opportunities.
We are building this center by faith and the faithful support of church members and community supporters that believe in this vision. Unfortunately, due to the times in which we live, banks have opted not to provide us the financial backing to complete this project, citing church projects as “too risky.” However, the business of serving our community can never be too risky - it’s necessary, especially in blighted communities. So then, your donation, large or small, will help us serve the lives of so many in need. 100% of each donation will go toward the manifestation of this building project, and as a 501(c)3 organization, your donation is tax-deductible.
Thank you for helping us help others. Despite what some think, it’s still true, we are stronger together.
