On the late evening of March 24th, at 11:00pm, a massive car crashed through the home of Ms. Jeanty, who was sitting in her kitchen area when the car came crashing through the wall and missed her by just a few feet away.

Ms. Jeanty is the kind of person who is always thinking about others before herself, always finding ways to accommodate and to help. Also, Ms. Jeanty is an elderly woman dealing with several health issues, including severe anxiety and now dealing with PTSD in the aftermath of this tragedy. Imagine an elderly person who should be resting soundly is instead dealing with something horrific no person should ever have to witness.

The car tore through the patio and into the kitchen area leaving it completely destroyed, and the structural damage is so severe that the house is unlivable (uninhabitable). Saldy, Ms. Jeanty has no homeowner's insurance. Ms. Jeanty has been displaced because there is simply no going back until the house is able to possibly be rebuilt.

The day-to-day costs of living such as housing, utilities and basic human necessities for a loving and caring woman who is going through so much is not something Ms. Jeanty who has always been a giver, is able to manage right now.
