THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORT! So many of you have come through financially, or by sharing the link, and by reaching out. The kindness and caring that's been demonstrated is incredibly moving and the gratitude we have for each one of you is overwhelming.

Morgan is deeply touched by everyone's efforts, and because of you all pulling together, he's able to face what lies ahead with a little less weight on his shoulders. As of today, October 5th, Morgan reports improvement as his dizziness is finally subsiding and he says his attitude is of elation and gratitude for his community.

On September 26th, our friend Morgan Rÿser was seriously injured in a dirt bike accident. His first surgery on his hand is complete, and he will soon have elbow surgery on his opposite arm. This leaves each arm cast to some degree and severely limits the use of both upper extremities. The result is Morgan’s inability to work his carpentry job, and it may take months to return to gainful, substantial employment. Morgan has a daughter, a dog, a home to maintain, and the everyday expenses that don’t stop when an accident happens.

In addition to being unable to work, he will face on-going medical care, physical therapy and rehabilitation as he works toward regaining his independence and returning to his trade. Morgan’s family estimates that he may need approximately $40,000 to help carry him through the next six to ten months while he recovers. We are still learning the full extent of what Morgan’s recovery will involve, and we will update this page as we know more. Right now, our goal is simply to give him some financial breathing room so he can focus on healing instead of worrying about how he will keep everything afloat while he is unable to work.
