50501 stands for 50 protests/50 states/1 movement
Big rallies and protests take real resources. All our events are funded entirely by donations from community members like you.
So far, we’ve been covering costs with the funds we have, but ongoing organizing expenses are adding up. We’ve also received requests for important (and sometimes costly) accommodations that will make our rallies more effective, accessible, and welcoming, including:
• Porta-potties
• More powerful audio equipment
• ADA-accessible parking
• Water stations
And more...
We are eager to add these accommodations as soon as we have the means. Every contribution — and every share of this page — helps us build safer, stronger, and more inclusive rallies.
All donations will be applied to these goals.

50501 Monterey organizes peaceful rallies to EMPOWER our COMMUNITY to refuse authoritarianism, uphold the Constitution, and save democracy. We're aligned with the decentralized, non-partisan state and national 50501 movements, and are fully COMMITTED to NON-VIOLENT RESISTANCE. We partner closely with Unite Monterey County. Everyone on the crew is a volunteer.
50501 is a decentralized national protest/movement fighting for our democracy, our constitutional rights, and to oppose the growing alt-right fascism that has been growing in the United States. It is completely grassroots organized by volunteers and participants around the country.
