Dear Monkton Country Day Care families,

Hello! My name is Cassie Kroart and I am an Eagle Scout candidate from Troop 1485, located in Sparks Glencoe, MD.

I am working on my Eagle Scout Project, which will directly benefit the children who attend the Monkton Country Day Care.

Specifically, Ms. Lisa Rufo explained to me that there is a tree on the playground where the children like to seek shade from the sun. There is a shallow ditch that separates the tree from the playground area.

I proposed constructing a small footbridge over the ditch so that the children could better access the shady area. In addition, I plan to plant Pachysandra as ground cover beneath the tree as well as several small shrubs along the ditch in order to beautify the area.

While I will be directing my fellow scouts in the construction of the bridge and the landscaping aspects of my project, I am seeking financial contributions towards materials and supplies.

Any amount you would be willing to donate, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated. Any unused funds will be donated to the Monkton Country Day Care.
