Help support Mona’s grieving family.
Hello, everyone. Early one morning in mid-July, the Harry family was shaken by a devastating loss.
Mona Harry was a beloved mother, wife, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend to many. Everyone who knew Mona knew she was compassionate, loving and incredibly determined.
In late November, Mona Harry was fired from her full-time job. Weeks later, on December 23, 2023 – days before Christmas, we discovered she had a benign brain tumor caused by a condition called Neurofibromatosis type 1.
After many calls and countless hours on the phone, she was still left with minimal medical insurance and no life insurance.
What followed were seven months of surgery, radiation treatment, physical therapy, house visits, doctor appointments and at-home care. During this time, her husband Pomanda lost many hours of work for Mona due to her need for 24-hour care and frequent doctor appointments.
Though there was a brief hope for recovery through a new treatment, due to her rapid decline in health, Mona was unable to complete these appointments.
On July 16, early in the morning, Mona passed away after a long, hard-fought battle with her illness.
Many have asked us how they can assist us during this time.
By donating, you can help cover funeral costs and help alleviate some of the financial burden so that her family can focus on grieving and self-care in the midst of and after this tragedy.
No amount is too small; thank you for your consideration.
