Help Us Keep Mom in Her Home for a Bit Longer

Hi everyone,

As many of you know, my mom is still living in the house she grew up in — the same place where so many of us have shared memories over the years. It means the world to her to be there, surrounded by familiar spaces and the community she's known all her life.

She’ll be celebrating her 90th birthday in January 2026, and while we are planning to move her down to North Carolina eventually, her wish is to stay in her home in Brookside for at least the next couple of years.

Unfortunately, the property taxes on her home have become difficult for her to manage — they’re about $8,000 per year. I’ve been helping cover the cost as much as I can, but with two kids in school, it’s becoming increasingly hard to do this on my own.

So I’m reaching out to ask for a little help from those who are able. If you’d like to contribute toward keeping Mom in her home just a little longer — through her 90th birthday and beyond — we would be incredibly grateful. Every little bit helps, and more than anything, your support means the world to us.
