Keep Molly Cook’s family off the streets!

Hello family, friends, and strangers,
Molly Cook is a mother in our neighborhood who is facing an incredibly difficult situation. She and her six children are facing HOMELESSNESS and in the process of getting a housing government voucher on an undetermined waiting list. ALL of her children have special needs. FIVE are on the autism spectrum and TWO nonverbal children have such severe autism, they need full time caretakers. Molly and half of her children also suffer from CMT (Charco Marie Tooth Disease, a hereditary and degenerative neuromuscular disease.)
Molly is the only physical and present caregiver and advocate for her children after the main provider has left the home. Molly cannot work outside of the home right now due to compounded issues of caretaking her six children and her severe health conditions . She has limited assistance and resources in care availability.
Molly was told in the middle of June, 2025 she and her children were to vacate their rented home before August 1, 2025. The time since then has been devoted to finding a home and securing resources to assist in the change, however, stability is crucial for children with autism. Sudden change, unfamiliar environments, and disruptions to routine, are overwhelming and traumatic to them. Aside from needing shelter, they also need time to adjust to a new environment and schedule. Ideally, Molly’s hope is for them to stay in the same school district with their already established schedules and programs. At the very least, to keep them in the same county to keep access to the services and support systems currently provided.
Molly has been applying for services and programs that can provide long-term stability. Unfortunately, these processes can take an undetermined amount of time to secure.
We would like to help Molly and her six children with enough money to cover housing fees, food, and transportation for 2-3 months. Molly has never asked us for money, yet we know it is a practical need that will help lighten the load and hold her family together through all of these intense changes and challenges. She is the anchor for her six children and a soul who shines light even in the most dire of situations. She is an inspiration in so many ways to the people around her and those who are blessed to know her. Anything you can give would be a miracle in her and her kids' lives right now. A lead or connection can be just as valuable as a donation.
