Almost 2 years ago, Mohammed Riad came across my For You Page on TikTok, and since that ✨“chance”✨ encounter, everything in both of our lives has changed. I, as many of you reading this now, fell in love with Mohammed, his family, his country, and his story….and what’s always remained consistent, from the first day that we met, was his faith in God and that he would one day return to his beloved village, and live freely with his family and friends like they once had over 14 years ago. Now that his country is free of war, the time has come for him to fulfill that ultimate dream of returning to his village, and that’s why I’ve created this fundraiser - to help him, his wife Tasneem, and their two boys Riyad and Ahmed build a comfortable space to enjoy their life as the country continues to transition from war to peace and prosperity.

Mohammad needs help to build an addition to his family’s home. He will construct a second-floor living space above his brother’s home. Because the costs of construction and supplies have risen drastically since the war ended, the estimated cost of construction will range from $3,500 to $5,000. Ideally, he would like to complete the work before his apartment lease expires in the next 4 months.
