My name is Lauren Seikaly and I live in New York City. My grandfather, grandmother, and father were forced out of their home in Haifa, Palestine in 1948 and resettled here in the United States. Most of the Seikaly family, who had lived in Palestine for 300 years, also left at that time and were never allowed by the new Occupation State to return to their homes. The Seikaly family has one remaining cousin, Mohamed , still living in Palestine with his wife and three children. They are currently suffering through the destruction of Gaza and its people.
Their home has been completely destroyed. They also owned a small shop and a poultry farm, both of which have also been completely destroyed. Life has become extremely difficult, and they struggle every day to find food, clean water, and medicine for the children.
We are fundraising for them this winter to help them purchase food, warm clothes and blankets as they struggle to survive this human atrocity continued upon them by Israel and the United States government. Please help in any way you can.
