With heavy hearts, we share that our father, Modesto Rivera, has been diagnosed with a return of cancer—this time far more aggressive. Just months after undergoing surgery to remove several affected organs, we have learned that his time with us is now very limited.

My sisters, Yara and Ilian, and I have made the decision to provide his end-of-life care at home, ensuring he remains as comfortable as possible until he is called to heaven. His final wish is to be laid to rest in his beloved Puerto Rico.
