Unexpected New Beginning
Hi, my name is Misty…
I never imagined I would be in a position where I needed to ask for help like this, but life has a way of taking us down roads we never expected. Right now, I am in the middle of starting over and building a new beginning from the ground up.
For the foreseeable future, I will be living in an RV that I am owner financing, and while I am beyond grateful to at least have that, getting everything set up has come with expenses far greater than I ever anticipated. One of the biggest and most immediate obstacles is the cost required for Mauriceville Water and Sewer District (MUD) installation. This has to be completed before the permit can be released, and only then can Entergy continue their process of setting up the power pole and dropping the electric lines.
This is just the beginning, and I know there will be many more expenses ahead, but this one alone has hit me hard. The total quote I was given is $6,611.10. After selling as many personal belongings as I can and receiving some help from a few truly amazing people, I am still short $5,341.
I have tried applying for loans and was denied. I have done everything I know to do on my own first, because asking for help does not come easy to me at all. In fact, it is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. But right now, I feel lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of what else to do.
Starting life over again is not something I ever pictured for myself, but here I am. I am doing my best to keep moving forward, one step at a time, believing that somehow everything will be okay in the end. This fundraiser is to help me get through this critical first step so I can have water, electricity, and the ability to make this RV into a safe and livable home.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean more to me than I can put into words. And if you are not able to give, sharing this would also help so much. Thank you for taking the time to read my story, for caring, and for helping me through a season of life I never expected to face.
With love and gratitude,
Misty
