Misty and I have been friends for over 20 years, sharing countless memories since we met in college. She’s always been there for me, capturing special moments as the photographer at my wedding and other important events. Now, she’s facing one of the hardest times of her life, and I want to help her the way she’s helped so many others.

Recently, Misty’s life was turned upside down after living through domestic violence. She is trying to rebuild her life and is now raising her two children on her own, including her son who has autism and needs ongoing therapy. She is behind on rent and owes significant legal fees as she fights for her children’s safety and stability. She fought hard for a DVO and is now going through a difficult custody battle. The emotional toll has been overwhelming, and she’s struggling to find work and is doing everything she can to heal from the trauma. Her family has helped to the best of their ability, but as things have gotten harder for them, and their support has faded. Misty is mostly on her own.

Despite everything, Misty is doing her best to hold her family together. She’s exhausted, worried, and feeling hopeless, but she hasn’t given up.
