Hi, I’m Brandy, founder of Misfit by Design, a nonprofit project based in Lincoln, Nebraska.

We’re raising $30,100 to officially launch—to secure our 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status and begin offering safe, stable housing and transformational support for 12 individuals (6 women and 6 men) who are ready to rebuild their lives before it’s too late.

✨ Misfit by Design is not up and running yet—but the vision is alive and growing.

This is a prevention-based program, not reentry or aftercare. We believe in meeting people before the streets, before prison, and before relapse. With your help, we’ll give them a real shot at healing through trauma-informed support, life skills, and purpose-driven living.

File for our official 501(c)(3) nonprofit status

Rent and furnish 4 apartments

Provide groceries, hygiene items, and daily essentials

Launch our healing curriculum and Level 1 workbook series

Cover legal fees and startup insurance.
