Help our amazing sister Miriam to fight Ovarian Cancer

Hi, my name is Elizabeth and I am fundraising on behalf of my incredible sister Miriam, who is 55 years old and has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer. For those who know her, Miriam is the anchor of her family and a vibrant presence in our community. She’s a loving mom of 8 and the kind of friend who would drop everything to help you.

This all happened so fast. Last year, a routine checkup led to a series of tests, and her world—and ours—was turned upside down with the diagnosis. The doctors quickly put her on an intense treatment plan, which includes multiple rounds of chemotherapy followed by surgery and radiation. Thanks to a surgery done, she survived it. However, during another routine check this past month, the doctors found another tumor behind her lungs.

Miriam has always been a fighter, and she is approaching this battle with so much strength and a positive attitude. However, her treatment has made it impossible for her to continue working. While we are so grateful for her doctors, the mounting medical bills and everyday living expenses are becoming an overwhelming burden, both for her and for her husband and children.

The funds we raise will go directly toward:

Covering her co-pays and deductibles for her treatment,

Helping with daily visits to her doctor, like infusions, meals, and gasoline,

Covering the costs of experimental treatments not covered by insurance.

It is incredibly difficult for our family to ask for help, but we've realized we can't do this alone. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a profound difference and allow our sister to focus her energy on healing instead of worrying about finances.
