Support Miriam Casillas' Family and New Baby!
Donation protected
Miriam Casillas is a parent, a volunteer, and a huge part of the Garfield/San Antonio community. She is incredibly caring and willing to lend a hand whenever someone in Oakland asks for assistance. Her family has been through a lot recently. She was hospitalized in March in order to keep watch on her pregnancy because of a high risk of infection due to black mold found in her home. She has not been able to take care of her three children and take them to school the way she normally would because of her hospitalization, and the strain on her family has been stressful for the grandparents, the parents and the children. Miriam had her fourth child on Tuesday, April 15th, after going into emergency surgery. Her baby is now in the NICU and will be there until June. Because of her sudden hospitalization, Miriam has not been able to buy many of the necessary items to raise a child or prepare her home for success. Additionally, her home needs extensive renovations because of the black mold that was found in order to keep her family safe. These funds will go directly to Miriam and her family in order to pay hefty hospital bills, buy childcare items for the new baby in her family, support her three elder children with food and other necessities, and contribute to the costs of fixing her home. Thank you so much for donating to this Go Fund Me and supporting Miriam and her family.
