Thank you for your outpouring of support via email and phone calls; each and every one means so much to us.
We are setting up this account for our staff who will miss out on paychecks starting Friday, 3 April 2020. They all received a paycheck on Friday 20 March and have signed up for unemployment. But this will only go so far, and some of them have special financial needs. We will distribute the funds which we accumulate here to each and every staff member at every payday; Friday 3 April is our next target date. If we reach our goal, great. No matter if we do or don't, we will start another for the following pay period so that our staff have something to look forward to.
This is difficult for us all, and I am so sorry if this has adversely affected you and your loved ones. Your support for our staff means the world to me and to them, and we can never thank you enough for the selfless gesture you're making with this gift. You all know how much we try and take care of our own @MiNGO, but sometimes everyone needs to reach out and ask for help. I'm humbled to have to do this, but I want my staff to stay above water, taken care of and looked after so that they can focus on what's important right now: health, family, friends and mental well-being. And, when we exit this crisis, I want the restaurant financially healthy enough to not only employ all ofour wonderful staff again, but for MiNGO to come out of this with the same high standards, community oriented spirit and supportive environment which we've always been known for.
