Melissa is a U.S. Navy veteran, licensed teacher and school counselor who has dedicated her life to supporting children’s emotional well-being. She’s launching this project to bring encouragement and connection to kids who often feel alone—especially those in military families. Why We’re Doing This

Thousands of military children grow up feeling lonely and unseen. They move often, miss their deployed parents, and carry worries most kids never have to face.

The Yeti Whisperer Friendship Tour changes that. We’re creating a traveling storytelling and kindness tour where children gather to spread hope and connection — and send handwritten postcards of friendship to military kids all over the world.

What Happens on the Tour

At each stop, children will:

• Gather in a cozy, outdoor-themed space with warm cocoa and friendship

• Listen to The Yeti Whisperer — a story about courage, kindness, and lifting others up

• Write personal postcards filled with encouragement for military kids whose parents are serving overseas

Each postcard carries this message:

“You are seen. You are loved. You are not alone.”
