Hello! My name is Miles Ong and I am a Boy Scout with Troop 424 in Camas, WA. This fundraising page is for my Eagle Project material fund. For my project I am building three raised garden beds for Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Most of the material cost will go toward lumber and other expensive materials. We are also doing a sizable chunk of ground prep as well for the beds to be built on. The main reason in building these raised garden beds is for easier access to gardening for everyone in their community, especially elderly people who no longer have the physical capabilities to get down and dirty for gardening. Raised beds will hopefully allow people who do not have the ability to bend down or kneel to plant and grow whatever kind of fruits, veggies, or other plants they may want. Gardening is a great way to get outside, enjoy time with your friends, and gain healthy sources of food. It's also just a great hobby and a lot of people really enjoy it. I think everyone should be able to garden no matter their age or ability, so I am building a place where anyone can.
