Hi! My name is Miles McDaniel. I am 17 years old and play water polo for Palos Verdes Water Polo Club and Redondo Union High School Varsity Water Polo. I have played water polo for eight years and have had many achievements so far, including five top ten finishes in the USAWP Junior Olympics Platinum Division. I am a USAWP Academic All-American, and I maintain a 4.0 GPA with aspirations to continue playing water polo in college.

Water polo is my passion! What I love most is the challenge of being part of a team, working to set goals and solve problems, and the thrill and satisfaction that comes with winning games together. The friendships that grow from this process are invaluable.

Now, my club team has been offered the opportunity to play in two tournaments in Croatia against several outstanding 18U international teams, including Croatia, whose Olympic team won gold in the 2024 Summer Olympics. Not only is this invitation a chance to test our team's capabilities and resolve on the international stage, but it will also offer a chance for us to develop friendships for building our sport in the future. It will also be my first time traveling to another country, so I am very excited that it will be playing water polo in a country that has been so integral in building the sport I love.

I am respectfully requesting your financial support to help me raise $3,500 to cover travel and accommodation expenses for our 2-week trip. I truly believe this international experience will be invaluable to my growth as a potential college athlete as well as for my team's campaigns in the upcoming 2025 Junior Olympics and a CIF Championship in my senior high school season.
