We wanted to share an update on Mike.

After coming home Wednesday, Mike had a scare Thursday night and had to return to the ER. Thankfully, after monitoring and tests, the doctors released him Friday. We are so grateful he’s back home again, but it was a reminder that healing from a heart attack is not always a straight line. The ups and downs this next month will be taxing as Mike adjust to slowing down. We all know for Mike, that’s easier said than done.

Mallory continues to juggle caring for him, their newborn twins, and the kids, all while holding their home together. It’s a lot — but your kindness is helping to carry them through.

We would like to share our gratitude and say thank you to everyone who has donated, prayed, or shared this page so far. Every single gesture brings relief and hope to their family. Please keep them in your thoughts as Mike continues this long road of recovery.

Just three weeks ago, Mike and Mallory added two beautiful identical twin boys into their family. With the joy of newborns also comes the challenge of caring for all five children — a 10-year-old son, an 8-year-old daughter, a 3-year-old daughter, and now two precious newborn boys.

But shortly after, the unimaginable happened: Mike suffered a serious heart attack on Monday. While he is focusing on recovery, Mallory is caring for him as well as their children — including twin newborns who require round-the-clock attention.
