Support Mike's Battle: Pancreatic Cancer Relief
Donation protected
This isn't easy to write, but if you're able to help, even in a small way, it would mean the world.
We’re raising funds to help support Mike—an incredible dad, amazing partner, brother, and friend—as he faces the unimaginable. Your donation will not only help with medical bills and daily expenses but will also help him create lasting memories with his children. Whether it’s to help with a bucket list vacation that is planned for this summer, a special concert with his daughter, or a once-in-a-lifetime round of golf with his son—every dollar helps make those moments possible.
I met Mike almost seven years ago—no, it wasn’t love at first sight (haha), but he quickly became my person. Like every couple, we’ve faced our fair share of challenges, but nothing could’ve prepared us for what we’re going through now.
Just over two months ago, what we thought were minor side effects from a new medication turned out to be terminal pancreatic cancer. Since then, life has flipped upside down. It’s been a blur of doctor appointments, tests, and difficult conversations—especially the one where we had to tell his kids, Kalynne (18) and Nate (16). That night was one of the hardest of my life. Telling my children that the man that treats them like a dad, Idayah (26), Abbey (19), and Cam (13) was just as difficult.
Most recently, we found out that the cancer has spread to his liver. Mike has started chemo and had to leave his job, which has made everything even more overwhelming. But what matters most to him now is making every moment count with our children.
Mike is not one to ask for help. Honestly, getting him to agree to this post wasn’t easy. But I reminded him—this isn’t about pride; it’s about giving his kids memories that will last forever.
He just turned 50 a few weeks ago. He should be looking forward to the next chapter in life—not fighting for more time. A dear friend created a “bucket list” bucket for his birthday, filled with dreams and experiences Mike hopes to share with his children. Some were so very generous, but it was suggested we try this method as it can reach so many more people.
So, we’re asking—if you’re able to help in any way, please consider donating. Even the smallest amount makes a big difference. If you can't give, sharing this post means just as much. Let’s help Mike make the most of the time he has left. I’ll attach my Venmo and Cash App for those that wish to contribute and not use this GFM platform.
