Support Michelle Duff's Long Road to Recovery

Hello everyone. My name is Ashley and on Sunday November 24th my mother Michelle Duff had a very, very bad fall and accident. I got a call at work to come and when I got to my mother’s house she was laid out on the floor and could not move. Her screams was something I’ve never heard before. I immediately called 911. My mom was taken to Mercy where she had X-rays done and we learned just how severe and bad she was. So bad they called Cleveland Metro to come for her. She was rushed to Cleveland Metro Trauma center where she underwent emergency surgery and has more surgeries to come. With the fall she broke her femur bone completely in half, which pushed into her knee and shattered her knee. She also broke her shoulder and arm. All the breaks are so bad the drs said nothing they give her will help her pain. On Monday my mom had emergency surgery on her knee and leg. She now has a metal plate for her knee with 7 screws. A rod from her knee up and screws to help the femur break which is by far her worse break. She goes into another surgery today to have a plate and screws put into her shoulder and will have another surgery on her arm. She will not be able to come home and will be sent to a rehabilitation center after everything and she is able to leave the hospital.

if you know my mom you know she’s a very independent and hard working woman. With 2 jobs. She works every day to make her way through life. Unfortunately she won’t be able to work for the very near future up to 14 weeks of recovery. My mom does not have medical and her bills will be due. I’m raising money to help cover her every day life (rent, bills, care for her cat, etc) she will also need medication when she does get to come home she has a very bad heart and has had many small heart attacks she is on heart medication, blood pressure and she’s diabetic. She works two jobs to be able to cover her scripts. She has a very very long road ahead and recovery. I’m a single mom of 5 and pregnant myself. I work full time as well and I’m trying to do all I can. Taking on her expenses is a lot. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Even just share this if you can’t help.
