On April 16th, Michelle’s home was changed in an instant. A fire tore through the house, destroying the entire upstairs, and the downstairs apartment where Michelle lives is now unlivable in the aftermath.
By tremendous grace, all people and all animals are safe, but safety does not erase the sudden shock of displacement, the loss of shelter, or the overwhelming cost of having to begin again without warning.
Michelle now needs immediate support for emergency housing, moving expenses, replacing necessities, and navigating the many urgent costs that follow a disaster like this.
If you know Michelle, you know she is someone worth showing up for. If you are able to give, any amount will help. If you cannot donate, please share.
Let’s help make sure that in the wake of this loss, Michelle is met with what matters most: community, care, and the means to land somewhere safe.
