We are starting this GoFundMe to support our friend Michael after a devastating car accident.

On April 14th, Michael was involved in a serious accident on the Parks Highway near Big Lake. First responders arrived quickly and transported him to the hospital with severe injuries. He has since undergone surgery for a T11 fracture and is facing a long and challenging road to recovery.

Michael is a dedicated volunteer firefighter with the Houston Fire Department — someone who has always shown up for his community in times of need. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.

In addition to his own injuries, one of his dogs was also hurt in the accident, and remains in critical condition and is undergoing surgery in Anchorage.

This fundraiser will help cover medical expenses and recovery costs during this incredibly difficult time.
