<div>On April 14th, Michael was involved in a serious accident on the Parks Highway near Big Lake. First responders arrived quickly and transported him to the hospital with severe injuries. He has since undergone surgery for a T11 fracture and is facing a long and challenging road to recovery.

<div>Michael is a dedicated volunteer firefighter with the Houston Fire Department — someone who has always shown up for his community in times of need. Now it’s our turn to show up for him.
</div>

<div>In addition to his own injuries, one of his dogs was also hurt in the accident, and remains in critical condition and is undergoing surgery in Anchorage.
</div>

<div>This fundraiser will help cover medical expenses and recovery costs during this incredibly difficult time.
