My name is Michael Canion and I started an organization called Empowered Through Faith World Outreach Center. Broward County continues to face high rates of housing insecurity, unemployment, and limited access to faith-centered social services. Communities affected by generational poverty often lack transportation, digital access, and awareness of resources. Traditional models struggle to meet people where they are — both physically and spiritually. Your donations would help provide transportation to bring services directly to neighborhoods. Meanwhile, the rented facility will provide a safe, welcoming base for deeper engagement, seminars, and healing programs. By pairing mobility with a stable community hub, we’ll dramatically expand reach, accessibility, and impact.

About my organization: Empowered Through Faith World Outreach Center Inc. was founded as a reflection of a deeply personal faith journey and a steadfast commitment to service. Growing up in a faith-centered family, I witnessed firsthand the transformative power of God’s love through my father’s ministry. These experiences instilled in me a profound understanding of faith’s ability to heal, restore, and uplift. Even during times when I strayed, I always found that no love compared to God’s love—a realization that fueled my passion for serving others.

Empowered Through Faith was established as a safe haven for struggling families and young individuals, providing spiritual encouragement, practical support, and a pathway to empowerment. Our mission is to create lasting, positive change by nurturing both spiritual and personal growth. Through faith-based outreach and community-driven initiatives, we aim to uplift individuals, families, and communities, ensuring that those in need find hope, guidance, and the resources to thrive.

At the heart of our mission is a strong commitment to:

• Feeding the Homeless – Providing nourishment, care, and essential resources to those experiencing food insecurity.

• Counseling Troubled Teens – Offering mentorship, guidance, and faith-based counseling to at-risk youth, helping them navigate challenges and build a future of hope and stability.

My Projected Goals & Objectives

Goals:

• Bring essential support services directly to the people

• Establish a consistent physical location for hosted programs

• Foster long-term relationships and spiritual growth in underserved communities

Objectives:

• Serve 1,200 individuals through mobile unit in Year 1

• Host 50+ workshops, speaker events, and counseling sessions at the facility

• Recruit and train 30 volunteers/faith leaders for outreach delivery

• Build lasting connections between churches, nonprofits, and families in need

Through these initiatives, Empowered Through Faith exists to embody the principles of faith, love, and service, fostering a community where everyone has the opportunity to flourish.
