Hi, my name is Mia, and I’m reaching out with one of the hardest requests I’ve ever had to make. I am a single mother of two amazing little boys, both under the age of five. They are my entire world, and everything I do is to keep them safe, happy, and healthy.

Right now, I am in the middle of a custody battle, after leaving an abusive marriage fighting for full custody so that my children can grow up in a safe and stable environment. Unfortunately, this fight comes with overwhelming legal costs that I can no longer manage on my own. I currently owe two different attorney bills — (kids attorney) for $1,500 and my attorney for nearly $10,000 with me already paying off majority of the pervious bills from everything. These bills need to be paid immediately, or I risk being taken to court over the balances, which would put everything I’ve been fighting for in jeopardy.

I’ve never made a GoFundMe before, and asking for help does not come easy for me. But as a mom, I will swallow my pride and do whatever it takes to protect my boys. Right now, that means asking for help from friends, family, and kind-hearted people who may understand the struggle of trying to hold everything together.

Income has been tight because I’ve had to prioritize my children above all else. I live in Illinois, away from my family in Arizona, and some days it feels like I am holding everything together by a thread. My small business has slowed down, bills are piling up, and I am falling behind. Despite that, I am determined to give my boys the stable, loving life they deserve.

Any donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward paying off these urgent attorney bills and keeping my custody case moving forward. I don’t want to lose everything I’ve worked so hard for, and I don’t want to let my children down.
