Hello, I am Merek Sengmany, my dad Khone recently was detained by ICE and will be deported to Laos for a crime that he was charged for 30+ years ago… Our family has been bracing for these times to come, but not so early. His immigration check in wasn’t until November, so we thought we had some time.. He was suppose to watch and be there to celebrate with me on my wedding day next month.. If you know me I am not a person to ask for much, but this has to be one of the hardest times for my family and I. My mom and dad both worked very hard but my Dad was the main income for my family.. With him not working it’s going to be hard on my mom being the only income, money is going to be tight… We still have to pay all the bills and everything as if he was still here. We also are going to have a lot of expense for travel if/when we go to visit him in Laos. As well as paying for him to start a new life in Laos. None of this has really sunk in that my dad isn’t going to come home every night. That I won’t get to see him laying on the couch after work, or go play golf with him on the weekends, or any of the normal things that we did. Our lives completely flipped upside down. I don’t expect anything from anyone, but I thought I would at-least give this a shot for some sort of help. Anything and everything is very much appreciated. If you can’t donate finically keep us in your prayers and the good and safe vibes our way. Really all I want is my dad back home with us.. But that’s not an option..
