I’m Stepping Into the Ring for the First Time to Fight for Mental Health
Not many people know my truth. For years, I battled with anxiety, constantly overthinking, second guessing myself, and feeling trapped in my own mind. It was exhausting, isolating, and, at times, completely overwhelming. I know what it’s like to struggle in silence, to put on a brave face while feeling like you’re drowning underneath it all. And I know how hard it is to ask for help, especially when financial barriers make it feel impossible.
That’s why I’m taking on the biggest challenge of my life - stepping into the boxing ring for the first time ever on 5th April at the IFP event. This isn’t just about learning to fight; it’s about pushing past fear, breaking through mental barriers, and proving that we are stronger than the battles in our minds. Just like anxiety, boxing demands resilience, inner strength, and the determination to keep moving forward, even when everything inside you wants to stop.
I’m doing this to raise money for Prosperity, a charity dedicated to providing mental health support and counselling for those who need it most. Too many people suffer in silence because they feel alone, ashamed, or simply can’t afford the help they need.
That has to change. If you’ve ever struggled with anxiety or depression, know that you’re not alone. If you ever need someone to talk to someone who truly gets it, I’m here.
