We are 11 men at the threshold of a 4 day Vision Quest that will shape the rest of our lives—and we are asking for your support to make it possible.
For the past 6 months, our group has embarked on a Rite of Passage training to do deep inner work—facing the patterns within us that cause harm, healing our lineages, and taking responsibility for the ways we show up in the world. We come from different walks of life—farmers, carpenters, builders, artists, and those in the world of technology—but we are united by a shared calling: to become men who lead lives of integrity, purpose, and service.
Along this path, we were confronted with a powerful truth: when men are left uninitiated, it impacts not only their own lives, but the well-being of the communities around them. But when men are guided through meaningful rites of passage, they can become grounded leaders—men who serve, protect, create, and contribute in ways that bring healing rather than harm.
Now, we stand at the culmination of this journey: a four-day vision quest in the wilderness of Colorado. Alone in nature, without food, we will fast, pray, and listen—seeking clarity, guidance, and deeper alignment with our purpose. We enter this experience supported by elders, and experienced guides, with deep respect for the traditions that have carried this work forward.
We are asking for your support to help make this rite of passage possible. Each of us comes from differing economic situations. We could each pay our own way — but that would miss the point. This quest is not for us alone. We go out on behalf of our people, carrying the prayers of those around us into the wilderness. And so we humbly ask our community to sponsor us, to say: yes, this is something we want. We want men going out to listen, to pray, to come back changed and ready to serve. Your contribution is a vote for this different way — one that says we do this together, not alone.
Your contribution directly supports the land we gather on, compensating our guides and support team, bringing in elders, holding a sacred fire, providing food for the base camp, and — most importantly — an indigenous land offering: a direct contribution to the Native peoples whose land we will be praying on. Your support is an investment in the kind of men we are becoming—and the impact we will carry back into our communities.
We do not do this for ourselves alone. We do this so that we may return with greater depth, clarity, and responsibility—ready to serve, to lead, and to help guide other men through their own initiatory paths.
If you feel called to support this journey, we would be honored to receive your contribution and carry it with us into the wilderness.
With gratitude,
— The Men of Courting The Sacred Hunt
