Our $35,000 fundraising goal is essential to securing this anchor location for Ukiah. With these funds, we can sign the already negotiated contract and ensure that a family-owned, community-focused business—not a large, out-of-town corporate chain—fills this vital space in the heart of our town. Your support will help us bring a facility to Ukiah that truly reflects our values, prioritizing inclusivity, development, and local connection for our children and families.

Mendo LEAP: Building on a Foundation of Experience and Community Insight
This new facility isn’t just about expanding our space—it’s about expanding opportunities for every family in our community. At Mendo LEAP, we’re on a mission to provide an accessible, engaging, and inclusive environment where children and teens can explore, develop, and connect. But we need your support to bring this vision to life.
Our 2,000 sq. ft. downtown Ukiah location has served as a beta research and development space for over two years, allowing us to learn the specific needs of Ukiah families. Every detail of our expanded facility—from equipment choices to layout for parent comfort—reflects this experience. Along with the top-tier cleanliness and safety standards at our core, we’re building a space that truly serves and connects our community.
By donating to Mendo LEAP, you’ll be contributing to:
- Safe, Developmentally Inclusive Spaces: Clear panels on play structures for visibility, reinforced equipment to accommodate all adult sizes, sensory-avoidance room, natural and neutral color schemes, as well as pediatric specialists consulted for developmental adaptability.
- Health and Wellness for All Ages: Large ball pit, sensory swings, climbing structures, slides, teen ninja warrior course, tween obstacle course, elementary active play zone and more.
- Innovative Programs and Enriching Experiences: Party rooms, a staffed maker space, a children’s theater, circle time experiences and interactive exhibits showcasing Mendocino County’s natural beauty and heritage.
- Collaborative Partnerships and Community Support: Through partnerships with local agencies, we’re expanding our ability to serve their needs and attract pediatric therapeutic specialists to the area. These connections strengthen local services, enhance community wellness, and build a supportive network for families and professionals.
