- Hi! I'm Melissa Simonson. I've been in recovery for 2 years and frequent AA/NA meetings. I also volunteer service work as a sponsor/mentor for ladies in Drug-Court and the youth at Wellfully for adolescents.
- I struggle because ladies will call me and ask me to take them to a meeting, as it is a part of sponsorship, and unfortunately, I have no vehicle. Last year, I learned I have severe stenosis of the spine and had to stop waitressing and file for disability. Until it is approved, I have no income to buy a car. I struggle as well, trying to get to and from doctor appointments, as there are many.
- It is hard for me to reach out to the community and ask for help. I strive to be humble, but I also strive to be bold! I'm asking for donations to buy a cheap car, so that when I'm called on, I can be there!
