Hello there, yall probably know me already but my name is Melanie and this here is my family. Times are tough for everyone so I understand this is a big ask when everything feels unbearable for so many right now but I figured it can’t hurt to ask.

This year has been the hardest I think we’ve ever had to endure. Car problems, death of a family pet, and news of a family member becoming terminally ill all in the beginning of the year has set us back over and over again. We are at a point where rent is always 2 weeks late, bills are going unpaid to the point of our power getting shut off, and we can’t even afford normal household items like toilet paper. We are subsisting on spaghetti and hope that one day we’ll get out of this hole we’re in.

This is not for lack of trying as both my boyfriend and I work full time as retail managers but it’s just not ever enough. I swear we are doing everything in our power to stay above water but we can never seem to get ahead. With the holidays looming our hearts break because what could we give up in order to get presents for the kids?

What I’m asking for is just one months rent to help us get ahead for just a moment. Let us breathe so we can pay our bills fully and even maybe have enough to give our kids the Christmas they deserve. I think thrice weekly spaghetti for a year should earn you a solid Christmas don’t you?
