As some of you may know, my sister Megan, Dale and Isla heartbreakingly lost their baby boy in November last year.
Amazingly, shortly after they found out they were pregnant with their baby girl. However, they are now facing another incredibly difficult and unexpected journey.
My sister has given birth to her baby girl at just 22 +6 weeks, weighing just 574g, who is now in neonatal intensive care at St Michael’s Hospital in Bristol. She is being cared for by an amazing team and is already showing how strong she is.
We have so much respect and gratitude for the team caring for her at such an early stage, going above and beyond to give her the very best chance.
This has all happened very suddenly, and they are now facing a long stay in Bristol so they can be close to their baby girl while she receives the care she needs.
During this time, it is so important for them to be together as a family, supporting one another through every moment.
However, unfortunately finding suitable accommodation nearby for them all to stay together has proven difficult, even through the hospital, which is adding to the stress during an already overwhelming time.
The costs of accommodation, travel, food, and time off work are adding up quickly, especially as this is likely to be a long journey over the coming weeks and months.
We are doing everything we can as a family to support them, but if anyone is able to help in any small way to ease the financial pressure during this time, it would mean so much.
Most importantly, we ask for your thoughts and support for their baby girl as she continues to fight and grow stronger each day.
Thank you so much for reading
