Heidi and I are planning to go on a medical mission trip to Brazil. The trip is scheduled for April 14th through the 24th. The trip will start with a flight into Manaus, Brazil, where we’ll board the boat and begin traveling to the first village we will be serving. The trip is through Central Brazil Mission, which serves a number of communities in the region.

We will live on the boat where we will eat, sleep, bathe, go to the bathroom, lounge around, treat patients, entertain guests, be entertained, have devotions, laugh, and cry. Most of our time will be on board the “CBM Amazonia”.

WORK ON THE TRIP:

The workers on the “CBM Amazonia” will welcome and treat patients aboard, take weights and vital signs, play with the many children, pass out medications, give out toys and candy, assist dentist with dental care, give haircuts or use lice shampoo, and participate in worship services.

Donations will cover airfare and transportation, immunizations, housing and food, boat and crew expenses, and medical supplies for the people we’ll serve. I prayerfully seek to raise $3,000 from those who feel led to further the kingdom of God in the remote Brazilian communities along the Amazon River.
