We are raising funds to provide reliable food, clean water, essential medical care, and education access to underserved communities in Cape Coast, Ghana.

In August 2026, I will be returning to Cape Coast to support several health and food-security initiatives in a community I've been connected with for many years.

My journey with Cape Coast began as a nursing student through an organization called Projects Abroad in December 2018. I worked alongside dedicated clinicians at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and served residents of the Ankaful Leprosy Community. During that time, I formed many meaningful relationships, especially with my friend Eric, a local pastor and social worker who supports his community every day through his multiple NGOs like First Intervention Ghana.

The kindness, generosity, and spirituality of the people I met while working in Cape Coast had a lasting impact on me. In addition to the friendly people, the poverty and lack of community resources also left a lasting impression on me. Since my first visit to Ghana, I have felt a strong connection to this community. Over the years, through the support of family and friends, I have organized multiple aid initiatives, including fixing a borehole (well) to provide consistent access to safe drinking water for the Ankaful Leprosy Community, raising funds to provide essential medical equipment to nearby hospitals and clinic, and sponsoring surgeries in unique emergent situations.

In January 2026, I returned to Cape Coast with aims to help build sustainable solutions in these areas while also partnering with smaller local organizations serving marginalized populations within the greater Cape Coast Community.

The extent of our impact during our last trip was astonishing. While the amount of lives we were able to change for the better exceeded expectations, there were still so many needs identified. Which is why I am returning to Ghana this August with my husband and brother to follow-up on previous sustainable programs we initiated and bring more support to the local organizations that are working tirelessly to help improve their community with their limited resources.

The Ghana Hope & Health Initiative aims to support sustainable solutions to the health and wellness of these marginalized groups in partnership with trustworthy local organizations serving the Cape Coast community.

Together, we hope to strengthen long-term wellbeing, empower local leaders, and support communities that have welcomed us with extraordinary warmth and resilience.
