On September 7, I will be running a marathon to raise funds for a leprosy camp in Ghana—a cause that has been close to my heart for the past seven years. I first visited the camp as a nursing student with Projects Abroad, where I worked alongside local medical teams and formed a lasting connection with Erik, a local pastor who continues to serve the camp community. Since returning home, I have stayed in close contact with Erik and have raised funds to provide ongoing medical support for the people living in the camp.
The camp faces daily challenges in accessing basic necessities like medical supplies and nutritious food. My goal is to purchase essential items and personally deliver them to the camp, ensuring that every donation directly benefits those in need. In the past, I have also led projects such as bringing clean water to the village, and I am committed to starting similar initiatives that improve the quality of life for everyone there.
Your support will help provide critical medical care and reliable meals for the residents of the camp. Every contribution makes a real difference and helps us continue this important work. Thank you for joining me in supporting this resilient community in Ghana.
