My name is Mahmoud, a third-year medical student from Gaza, currently studying at Ain Shams University in Cairo. My family and I are facing difficult circumstances after we lost our home and source of income during the war in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood.

My mother is suffering from blood cancer (leukemia) and is undergoing continuous treatment. My father, who is elderly, has accompanied her to Egypt so she can receive medical care. Meanwhile, the rest of my family — my brothers, sisters, and their children — remain in Gaza, living in tents under very difficult humanitarian conditions.

We are a large family of 11 members, with 12 grandchildren, in addition to my brother’s wife and my sisters’ husbands. All of them are currently without shelter after losing their homes during the war. I also have three brothers — Mohammed, Khaled, and Yousef — who are currently studying at university and are struggling to continue their education due to the lack of income.

During the war, we lost our home in the Shuja'iyya neighborhood and all of our sources of income. Our family is now scattered between Gaza and Egypt, without a provider or stable financial support.

I created this campaign because we are in urgent need of assistance. I am seeking support to cover my university tuition fees, which exceed $9,000, and I may be forced to discontinue my education at any time.

We also need support to provide basic necessities for my brothers in Gaza to help them survive under these difficult conditions, or to help establish a small project that would allow them to sustain themselves.

In addition, we need assistance to cover my mother’s medical treatment so she can continue her care.

We also need support to cover living expenses here in Egypt, including housing and daily necessities during the treatment period.

Any contribution would help my family overcome these difficult circumstances and continue education, treatment, and basic living needs.
