Support me on my Adoption Journey - Honduras

In 2021 I registered with an adoption organisation to adopt a child from Honduras. Since then I've been working hard on getting paperwork done (and lots of that!), learning Spanish (still on it), finding out more about the culture, preparing a home and... practising my patience.

Through my work as a Pediatric Nurse and Early Childhood Educator I have met incredible children and families in various and often challenging circumstances. My desire grew that if there ever was a child who, for whatever reason, doesn't have a family and I could provide that for them, I'd love to do it and be their mother one day. Well, I'd say that day is very close.

Now, I've submitted all my paperwork to Honduras and currently I'm waiting for a child to be matched with me. In the meantime, I want to prepare for the two trips I will have to take to Honduras to meet the child and finalise the adoption. This could happen at any time, but also could still take a couple of years.
