Support me as an Arctic Ambassador
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Linnea Goh, a 15-year old, grade 10 French Immersion student from North Vancouver. I just found out that I have been selected as one of 25 youth leaders from across Southern Canada to participate in the 2017 Arctic Youth Ambassador Caucus (http://www.globalvision.ca/ayac/), March 8-12 in Iqaluit, Nunavut!

While in Iqaluit, we and 25 youth leaders from Northern Canada will meet with business, government and community leaders to discuss issues such as food security, health care, environment and education. We will also connect with Elders and youth from Northern Canada to learn about their rich history and culture. At the end of the Caucus, we will propose solutions to Northern challenges which will be presented to senior bureaucrats, corporate and community partners across the nation.
I am passionate about the environment, sustainability, climate change and human rights, all of which are relevant to the Arctic. Being part of the Caucus will broaden my understanding of these topics and help me grow as a youth leader.
It is an honour to be the sole representative from British Columbia at the Caucus. I can’t think a better way to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary than experiencing Nunavut, Canada’s newest territory. When I return, I plan to share my first-hand knowledge of Arctic issues with my school, my peers and my community.
It is my responsibility is to raise 40% of the cost of participating in 4 weeks and I need your help! Donations are tax-deductible and every bit will help me toward my goal. Please forward this to your friends and let me know if you can think of any organization that would be interested in sponsoring me.
I thank you for your support in advance. I look forward to sharing what I learn about the Arctic with you!SaveSave
