Support Me as a Kinship Foster Parent

Hello, my friends,

I really need your help. You may or may not know about our current situation but my grandsons, Emma Caroline’s two boys (2 1/2 yrs old and 9 months old), were placed with me after the baby sustained three injuries. Caroline has taken such good care of the boys, so we are all upset that they were removed from her, but we also understand that the court has to make sure the boys are safe. They were placed with me on June 17 and I have only been able to work one day since then. They will soon be in daycare and I will be able to return to work. However, in the meantime, I find myself in a hole financially. I only had a couple days of PTO coming into this due to Yangwen’s health scare earlier this year, so I essentially will have little to no paycheck coming this week. Beginning in August, I should begin receiving a small amount from the state for kinship foster care and that coupled with my earnings should be enough to make it. But this next month, I don’t have enough coming in to make ends meet.

If you have any form of help, I would be eternally grateful. Perhaps helping with a particular bill, filling my gas tank (there are so many different appointments and meetings), a gift card for groceries or restaurants, a friendly visit, a package of diapers or wipes… seriously, anything will be appreciated.
