Support MCCNY's Charities for LGBTQ Youth

Hi ~ I'm Jessie Daniels, a board member at Metropolitan Church of New York (https://www.mccny.org), which offers a spiritual home to New York City's LGBTQ+ community. We believe we are called to be a spiritual center to queer people in the city. Stonewall Veteran and trans pioneer Sylvia Rivera was a member of MCCNY, and before her death, she asked Rev. Pat to establish a homeless shelter for queer youth. Sylvia's Place has been in operation since 2002. As part of our calling to live according to Gospel mandates, we provide a range of services to those in need through MCCNY Charities (https://mccny.org/charities/), including the shelter, Sylvia's Food Pantry, and the Q Clinic offering walk-in health care at no cost to clients.

I've started this fundraiser to help close a year-end budget deficit of $150,000. These are terrifying times for many, and especially for LGBTQ+ people who may be in need of food, housing and health care. Thank you for whatever you can give to help us continue this important work!
