Support Mauricio Herrera's Road to Recovery

Mauricio is doing awesomely well . He is so strong his in great spirits. He’s smiling and laughing and joking around. Hopefully, he will be moved from the ICU to a regular room in a couple of days. Soon home. Thank you everyone for your help and thank you for your prayers.

On the evening of Thursday, August 29, 2024, Mauricio Herrera was riding his motorcycle when he was hit by a lift truck. The truck driver didn’t even stop! If it weren’t for the people who heard the hit, Mauricio would have been left on the street with multiple injuries. 911 was called, and he was immediately airlifted to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. Mauricio was in serious condition. The right side of his body had several injuries; his right kidney was destroyed, his liver was damaged, his colon was damaged, and he had four broken ribs and a compound fracture on his right heel, ankle, leg, and muscle. He had to have immediate surgery to remove the kidney and to stop the internal bleeding. Due to the many, many prayers, Mauricio is on his way to recovery. The doctors taking care of his many injuries and the rest of the staff have been excellent. As you probably have guessed by now, the medical bills are going to be staggering. Mauricio’s parents must return to work but will continue to visit Mauricio at the hospital, which is a 1 ½ drive to and from their home in Bullhead, Arizona.
