Hi, my name is Matthew Guzman, and I’m a Life Scout working towards earning my Eagle Scout rank. For my Eagle Scout Project, I am leading an effort to replace the rotten wooden stairs along Pierce Mill, Rock Creek Park trail. These stairs are a vital part of the trail, ensuring safe and accessible passage for hikers, runners, and families who enjoy the outdoors.

Over time, the wood has deteriorated, making the stairs unsafe and hazardous. My project will involve removing the damaged wood, replacing it with durable materials, and ensuring the trail is safe for years to come.
