Support Matthew Johnson's Burial

Hello I’m Deja Johnson the daughter of Mathew Johnson.First and foremost, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the outpouring of love, support, and prayers that have surrounded my family during this incredibly difficult time. We thank God for giving us the strength to endure and continue moving forward. On May 20th, 2025, my father, Matthew Johnson, was illegally executed. While we acknowledge that his past actions were wrong, we extend our sincerest apologies to those affected and hope that, in time, healing and forgiveness can be found.

During his time in prison, my father experienced a profound transformation—he found salvation through Christ and was spiritually renewed. He deeply regretted his actions and found peace in knowing he had been forgiven. To us, he was a loving father and a truly remarkable man, and his presence in our lives will be forever cherished. We will always love him and carry his memory with us in our hearts

We are currently seeking to raise $10,000 to cover the burial expenses and the cost of bringing my father’s body home so we can give him a proper service. This time has been incredibly difficult for our family, and being able to lay him to rest with dignity means the world to us. Any amount, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated and will go directly toward honoring his memory. We are grateful for the continued love, support, and generosity shown to us during this time.
