For 32 weeks, my brother Matthew and sister Brittney dreamed of welcoming their son, Ruhn, into the world. They lovingly prepared his nursery, chose his name with care, and imagined the life they would share as a family.

All of these hopes and dreams were shattered. Rather than hearing the first cries of their baby boy, they were met with deafening silence. They left the hospital with empty arms and broken hearts, facing a future so much different than the one they had been expecting.

Ruhn passed away at 8 months old inside his mother’s womb.

Every parent can remember the first time they held their child, and the feelings of joy and happiness that follow. Brittney and Matthew didn’t get to feel that happiness and joy; they had to say goodbye before they even got to say hello.

Your donations will allow Matthew and Brittney to take the time they need to grieve without the added stress of financial burdens. It will help cover unexpected medical expenses, provide for a beautiful memorial service to honor Ruhn's memory, and support them as they slowly begin to rebuild their lives.
