My name is David Walsh and I am a golf course Superintendent at Talamore Golf Resort in southern pines Moore county. In the picture is one of my employees Matt Schommell with his fiancé Carla and their new baby girl Elaine. Sadly Carla was in a car accident not far from her home after work one evening and did not make it. She also has a son not pictured named Carlos. She and Matt had just moved into their new home they purchased together as their daughter was being born. Matt has worked for me right at three years and is a great person and dedicated worker. As all this was unfolding he was attending Sandhills community college and going through the GAP program for turf grass management. He has since graduated from that and continues to work for me. With an unexpected loss of income from his spouse and the struggles of being a single parent in today’s society I am putting this together to help ease some financial burden for him and his daughter so they can enjoy their new home and make ends meet. Any donations are appreciated and continue to keep him and the littles in your prayers as they navigate through the holidays and the start of a new year. He could also use any donated clothes and accessories for a little girl that just turned one a few weeks ago. Thanks for everyone’s help.
