Support Martín's Urgent Housing Crisis

Dear Friends and Community,

After an incredibly impactful but exhausting week at the 40th Annual International LGBTQ+ Leadership Conference—where I had the privilege of supporting leaders and advocates from across the globe—I came home to devastating news. A fire broke out in the apartment unit above mine, causing severe water damage to my home. Most of my personal belongings were destroyed, and I am now faced with the harsh reality of having nowhere to live.

To make matters worse, my landlord is using this crisis as an opportunity to pressure me to vacate my unit, leaving me in an urgent and uncertain housing situation.

As someone who is deeply committed to serving our community—whether through advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, supporting inclusive leadership, or organizing meaningful events—I’ve always worked hard to uplift others. Now, I find myself in a position where I need to ask for that same support from you.

This unexpected crisis has created significant financial barriers. Moving quickly is not something I can afford right now, and finding a new place that will welcome me and my two beloved dogs adds another layer of difficulty. While my renter’s insurance is processing the situation, I am in immediate need of funds for:

A security deposit and first month’s rent for a new home

Moving costs (transportation, supplies, etc.)

Replacing essential items like clothing and household goods

Basic living expenses such as food and toiletries

Your generosity can make a huge difference in helping me navigate this difficult transition. Any amount you can contribute will go directly towards rebuilding stability in my life and ensuring my dogs and I have a safe place to call home again.
